Burned fibers in endoscope
#1
Burned fibers inside endoscopes is also a known problem.
Depending on the diameter of the endoscope, burning the fibers can be done quite easy. Mostly we see that the laparoscopes don't have a big issue with burned fibers. The thinner ones like arthroscopes are burned much faster. Therefore different settings and parameters should be considered when using and testing endoscopes! The thinner the endoscope, the faster fibers are getting burned.

Burned fibers have a direct relation to burned light guides.

Hence the fact that there are less individual fibers in a thinner endoscope the sooner you will have to less light in your workfield. Also use the right light cables in combination with the right endoscope. they differ in diameter.
